We were both late bloomers and basically grew up in college. We learned to pluck our eyebrows and wear makeup together. We learned how to not let people walk all over us and shared in ministry in Ukraine together. We supported each other during hard times, defended each other to naysayers, and pushed each other towards being stronger women of God.
In college we loved to take crazy pictures together and had what we called our "classics." Here are a few so you can see for yourself just how far we've come! (Sorry for the low quality- they are photos of photos).
We are wearing pig snout squirt guns that we picked up at Big Lots. We thought we were hilarious!
OK, enough embarrassing myself and my friend! I am sure Laura will forgive me for posting these photos of our "akward years" because here comes a whole lotta photos of her looking dang good!
Laura and Jesus are perfect for each other. They were friends for over 7 years before they started dating (I can't tell you how many times I heard Laura say she'd never date Jesus during those years). The basis of their relationship is that friendship- a deep understanding and enjoyment of each other. I couldn't be happier that Laura found someone who loves even more than I do.
I was literally hanging off the edge of this dock, holding my camera out over the water for this shot. I love their genuine smiles and can only think that they were anticipating watching me and my camera topple into the water!
